🌸 Anastasiya Designs — Our Story
Anastasiya Designs began long before it had a name.
It started with a mother who believed deeply in her daughter’s art.
Since childhood, Nalini (Natalya) danced — and her mother, Anastasiya, was always behind the scenes, sewing every outfit with love. From the first Indian lehenga to vibrant gypsy dresses, to the elaborate bellydance costumes worn on Moscow stages, Anastasiya’s hands shaped every moment of her daughter’s artistic life.
In Moscow, dancers began to notice the beauty and uniqueness of these costumes. They started ordering their own pieces, and very quickly Anastasiya found herself busy with her first real clientele. By 1999, she opened a home-based costume shop in Ukraine, creating fully beaded bedlah sets and pioneering fresh, modern designs that stepped beyond traditional Egyptian styles. Her work stood out — distinctive, detailed, and ahead of its time.

When Nalini later moved to the United States, she brought not only her dance career, but also a full collection of her mother’s handmade costumes. This became the foundation of a new venture — a business named in honor of the woman who had supported her art all her life: Anastasiya Designs.
Today, Nalini and Anastasiya continue to work together across cultures and continents, creating professional, high-quality dance costumes for:
